NOTICE: Changes to our visiting and volunteer programs.

We are launching a new Animal Enrichment Volunteer Program starting in late January 2025. This new program will have experienced volunteers support our Animal Care Team with important enrichment activities for cats and dogs including exercises and training. We will begin to collect applications for these volunteer positions in the next few weeks.
Drop-in and appointment visiting times (dog walking/ cat play) are being phased out, and general kennel access for visiting and viewing will end on January 27 to accommodate our new structured programming.

**NEW** Animal Enrichment Volunteer
We are launching a new, more structured volunteer program that will provide support to our animal care staff with cat and dog enrichment activities. Experienced volunteers will work with adoptable animals on basic training and obedience, appropriate exercise routines, and important socialization.
This new program will require an application and approved volunteers must be capable of handling and working with large, difficult, and unsocilized shelter animals. We will be looking for individuals or small groups who can commit to two-hour shifts at least twice per month at the animal shelter.
